More right than wrong for the Giants, and a B to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Giants did exactly that with Caleb Ransaw in No. 154.

However the rest shakes out, Arroyo at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

In the 3rd pick they get a premier pass rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34 Rnd2 Walter Nolen
Nice patience on Walter Nolen, who had no business lasting to slot 34. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick65 Rnd3 Aireontae Ersery
Aireontae Ersery in the Round 3 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick99 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
Somehow Elijah Arroyo was still sitting there in the 99th overall pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick105 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander slid further than he should have, and pick 105 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick154 Rnd5 Caleb Ransaw
Caleb Ransaw in pick No. 154 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick219 Rnd7 Tahj Brooks
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tahj Brooks in pick 219. The roster fit checks out.
Pick246 Rnd7 Ja'Corey Brooks
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 7 slot with a little surplus value in Ja'Corey Brooks. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
