Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Giants kept it disciplined and banked a B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Giants never addressed cornerback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

Mullings has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Collins at that price is a win they earned.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In pick 3 they get a bendy edge with upside. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker at No. 34 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick65 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
The board had Alfred Collins higher than pick No. 65, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99 Rnd3 Charles Grant
Value with a capital V on Charles Grant in Round 3, Pick 35, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick105 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. in slot 105 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick154 Rnd5 Kalel Mullings
They paid a round early for Kalel Mullings in the Round 5 slot, more than the board wanted. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick219 Rnd7 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse at the 219th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the interior defensive lineman. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick246 Rnd7 Ja'Corey Brooks
Good price on Ja'Corey Brooks in the 246th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
