Draft Grade — Jets
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
The Jets drew a line under the quarterback search with Dart: A-.

The Jets put a flag in the ground for Tyler Loop, 87 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

Jaxson Dart is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Getting Ransom where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The kind of weekend a front office frames and hangs on the wall.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get their guy under center for the next decade, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick42 Rnd2 Josh Conerly Jr.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Josh Conerly Jr. in pick 42. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick51 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in pick No. 51 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick73 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
They did well to land Carson Schwesinger in the 73rd pick, just ahead of his grade. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick99 Rnd3 Terrance Ferguson
A conviction pick on Terrance Ferguson at slot 99 that the board grades a round light. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick110 Rnd4 Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond at No. 110 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick145 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jack Kiser in the Round 5 slot, miles early. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick151 Rnd5 Lathan Ransom
A safety of that caliber at the 151st pick is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick162 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
They took Chase Lundt at par in pick No. 162, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick186 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues in pick 186 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick191 Rnd6 Howard Cross III
Howard Cross III in No. 191 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
Pick207 Rnd6 DJ Giddens
They robbed the room for DJ Giddens here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick232 Rnd7 Tyler Loop
They reached into another round for Tyler Loop, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
