A franchise passer in Ward headlines a B- weekend for the Giants.

Somebody in pick 219 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Chris Paul Jr., the No. 117 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Webb has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
