The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Dart: C.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Jaxson Dart is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

They will need Garcia to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety. Warren at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In slot 13 they get the arm they will build around, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Circle this one: Tyler Warren at Round 2, Pick 2 is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Pick65 Rnd3 Kaleb Johnson
Kaleb Johnson in pick 65 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick98 Rnd3 Danny Stutsman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Danny Stutsman at the 98th overall pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick99 Rnd3 Savion Williams
Savion Williams at the 99th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick105 Rnd4 Charles Grant
They read the board right and Charles Grant was the payoff at the Round 4 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick154 Rnd5 JJ Pegues
A real head-scratcher, JJ Pegues in pick No. 154 is miles ahead of his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick219 Rnd7 Howard Cross III
Howard Cross III in No. 219 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick246 Rnd7 Gino Garcia
A wild overpay on Gino Garcia in pick No. 246, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
