Draft Grade — Giants

The Giants bled value on every deal, hence the C. The Giants clearly saw something nobody else did in Davison Igbinosun, taking him 67 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. They banked enough surplus on Abney II to cover a lot of smaller sins.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Isaiah World
In the 7th overall pick they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
Kayden McDonald
Kayden McDonald at Round 2, Pick 3 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick38
Rnd2
Nyck Harbor
They liked Nyck Harbor enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 38. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick47
Rnd2
Gabe Jacas
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Gabe Jacas. The roster fit checks out.
Pick101
Rnd4
Keith Abney II
Value with a capital V on Keith Abney II in pick 101, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick104
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
A big swing on Davison Igbinosun at the Round 4 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick143
Rnd5
Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez at pick No. 143 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick182
Rnd6
Bryce Foster
This one needs a full-page explanation: Bryce Foster in the 182nd pick, miles early. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick193
Rnd6
Evan Stewart
A premium they did not need to pay, Evan Stewart a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick195
Rnd6
Mark Fletcher Jr.
A reach on Mark Fletcher Jr. in the 195th overall pick; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
