Draft Grade — Giants
Overall
C+

FutureB-
Flashes of a plan, unevenly run, for the Giants: C+. The Giants spent real capital to be 90 picks early on Shaun Dolac, and the board is going to hold them to it. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
The Harris pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Hit on Will Campbell and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Will Campbell
In pick No. 6 they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick34
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 2, where Kenneth Grant graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick65
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Good price on Jayden Higgins in the 65th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick68
Rnd3
Kyle McCord
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kyle McCord. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick99
Rnd3
Tre Harris
Taking Tre Harris in the Round 3 slot is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick105
Rnd4
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild in the 105th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick108
Rnd4
Antwaun Powell-Ryland
They talked themselves into Antwaun Powell-Ryland at the 108th pick, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick154
Rnd5
Bhayshul Tuten
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bhayshul Tuten. It fills a real need, too.
Pick219
Rnd7
Davin Vann
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Davin Vann well ahead of where he belonged. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick246
Rnd7
Shaun Dolac
Shaun Dolac in No. 246 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
