If confidence were a draft strategy, the Broncos would have aced it. Rayshaun Benny at Round 5, Pick 28 is 23 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Landing Klare that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
