The Steelers did not so much draft Giles Jackson as overpay for him, 58 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Singleton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
