The Steelers let Mullings fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kalel Mullings tumbling to the Steelers in Round 7, Pick 13 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
