Nobody else had Ty Robinson anywhere near pick 117. The Dolphins did, by 53 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

It is not that Bowman Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first. That Edwards pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
