If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. Phillip Webb at pick No. 239 is 101 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Alexander steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
