The board had answers; the Browns had Jackson Jr.. Grade: F.

The Browns torched the value chart for Kenyatta Jackson Jr., taking him 54 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A F, plain and simple.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Romaine pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end still on the board.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Getting Slaughter where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
