Kal911 DRAFTING FOR THECardinals
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Cardinals: B-. The Cardinals put a flag in the ground for Shemar Turner, 76 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On value alone, Walker makes the weekend a net positive. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Will Campbell
In pick 16 they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47
Rnd2
Shemar Turner
Shemar Turner at No. 47 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick78
Rnd3
Deone Walker
Nice patience on Deone Walker, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. It fills a real need, too.
Pick114
Rnd4
Jeffrey Bassa
They went early on Jeffrey Bassa in pick No. 114, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
Pick153
Rnd5
Cobee Bryant
A wild overpay on Cobee Bryant in the 153rd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
