The Bills let Simpson fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The real work happened on the phones. The Bills fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

Getting Simpson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Bills had louder needs to answer first.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
