Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB
The Seahawks won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-. The Seahawks looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Bear Alexander at the Round 5 slot regardless, 54 picks early.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They banked enough surplus on Bernard to cover a lot of smaller sins.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Anthony Hill Jr. and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Anthony Hill Jr.
The board had Anthony Hill Jr. higher than No. 27, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick43
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jake Slaughter at slot 43. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick56
Rnd2
Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq in pick No. 56 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick59
Rnd2
Kamari Ramsey
Nothing to complain about; Kamari Ramsey went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick75
Rnd3
Jonah Coleman
Good price on Jonah Coleman in Round 3, Pick 11, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It fills a real need, too.
Pick111
Rnd4
Germie Bernard
Germie Bernard in the 111th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick120
Rnd4
Evan Stewart
Evan Stewart in the 120th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick150
Rnd5
DJ Campbell
They reached into another round for DJ Campbell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick166
Rnd5
Bear Alexander
Bear Alexander in Round 5, Pick 28 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick180
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in pick 180 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
