Draft Grade — Packers
Overall D-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Packers lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick No. 88 on Trevin Wallace, a name the board had a full 63 spots lower. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Mitchell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In pick 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Tyler Guyton
They paid sticker price for Tyler Guyton in the 33rd pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick41 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
The board had Adonai Mitchell higher than slot 41, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
Pick58 Rnd2 Cole Bishop
This one needs a full-page explanation: Cole Bishop in Round 2, Pick 26, miles early. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick88 Rnd3 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace at the Round 3 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick91 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
They reached a country mile for Zak Zinter at No. 91, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones at No. 126 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick142 Rnd5 Myles Cole
The board had cheaper options than Myles Cole at the Round 5 slot, and it noticed. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick169 Rnd5 Ty'Ron Hopper
A reach on Ty'Ron Hopper in pick No. 169; the board had better options right there. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick202 Rnd6 Kimani Vidal
A conviction pick on Kimani Vidal at slot 202 that the board grades a round light. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
