Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in the 160th overall pick lands the Packers a B, Paul Jr. and all.

When a board-topper like Chris Paul Jr. slides to slot 160, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Their trades came out a wash either way.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the 23rd overall pick they get a disruptive interior force. A real need, handled.
Pick58 Rnd2 Zy Alexander
Zy Alexander in No. 58 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jalen Royals
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 87th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick123 Rnd4 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick127 Rnd4 Dylan Sampson
Dylan Sampson in pick No. 127 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick160 Rnd5 Chris Paul Jr.
They robbed the room for Chris Paul Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
