Larceny in slot 230 lands the 49ers a D+, Higgins and all.

You build a draft on nights like this. Jay Higgins had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the 49ers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They will need Griffith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and wide receiver is still a hole.
