The Vikings cashed the board's mistake on Brown: A-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Logan Brown tumbling to the Vikings in the 176th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The trade work was a quiet net positive. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In the 27th overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside, and a steal at that.
Pick91
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Andrew Mukuba in slot 91. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick136
Rnd4
Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish at pick 136 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick139
Rnd5
Kyle McCord
Somehow Kyle McCord was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 1, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick176
Rnd5
Logan Brown
You do not let an offensive lineman like Logan Brown reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick187
Rnd6
Ollie Gordon II
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Ollie Gordon II at pick No. 187 is the proof. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
