The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Broncos reached some 40 spots for Steele Chambers, and value like that does not grow back.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

The Broncos indulged a want in Solomon while a need in interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots stayed open. The Hardy value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
