The Packers ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

The Melton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Batty lower, and that gap is the story.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
