The Bears drew a line under the quarterback search with Williams: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Rouse.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
