RF4916 DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Ravens. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Ravens did exactly that with Zion Logue in pick No. 248. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Milton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In slot 30 they get a true top target. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick62
Rnd2
Christian Haynes
By-the-book stuff, Christian Haynes at Round 2, Pick 30 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick93
Rnd3
Javon Foster
Javon Foster in the 93rd overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick131
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Fair-plus on Cedric Gray, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick134
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe at pick 134 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick164
Rnd5
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones slipping to the 164th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick226
Rnd7
Kendall Milton
The board fumbled Kendall Milton all the way to the 226th overall pick, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick248
Rnd7
Zion Logue
They reached a country mile for Zion Logue at pick 248, and the board is aghast. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
