The Jets left with their quarterback, and a D+ to match. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent No. 184 on Davison Igbinosun, a name most had 42 spots down the list.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Cam Ward is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. It is not that Loveland is a bad player; it is that the Jets had louder needs to answer first.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
