Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB-
The Bears found their guy under center in Williams: B. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Landing Gould that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Every board in the league had Bishop lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
They took Caleb Williams at par in No. 1, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick15
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In pick No. 15 they get a true top target at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick46
Rnd2
Adisa Isaac
A conviction pick on Adisa Isaac at the 46th overall pick that the board grades a round light. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick75
Rnd3
Cole Bishop
A big swing on Cole Bishop at slot 75, well ahead of any board in the building. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick137
Rnd5
Hunter Nourzad
They talked themselves into Hunter Nourzad at the 137th pick, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick180
Rnd6
Anthony Gould
Anthony Gould in Round 6, Pick 5 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick193
Rnd6
Tip Reiman
The board had Tip Reiman higher than the Round 6 slot, and the tight end fell to them anyway. A minor need, but a need all the same.
