McCarthy is the plan now, and the Broncos grade out a B.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Broncos committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The McGlothern pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The Barner reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Broncos indulged a want in Smith while a need in interior defensive lineman stayed open.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
