The Falcons checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

For all the boxes ticked, the Falcons skipped the loudest one: running back is exactly as bare as it was.

On value alone, McCarthy makes the weekend a net positive. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it. The C.J. Beathard pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
