You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Saints did exactly that with Stefon Thompson in pick No. 205. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting Jackson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
