The Saints got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The phones were a trap the Saints kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

Every board in the league had Jacobs lower, and that gap is the story. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Getting Jackson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and wide receiver is still a hole.
