The real work happened on the phones. The Saints fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. The Julian Blackmon deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. However the rest shakes out, Braswell at that price is a win they earned.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
