Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Saints spent the 71st pick on Jalen Milroe, a name most had 23 spots down the list. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

Getting Bond where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
