Call it larceny. Cody Simon sat on the board until the 215th overall pick, and the Browns did not need to be asked twice. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

Everything downstream of Cam Ward depends on Cam Ward, and the building knows it. Reaching for Smith left real value on the table behind him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
