Smith should have been long gone. The Panthers pounced, and earned a A-. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Brashard Smith got past him. The Panthers do not have to explain a thing at the Round 7 slot. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Bryant has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Panthers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
