The Panthers cashed the board's mistake on Gordon II: A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Panthers were there to profit. Ollie Gordon II, the No. 166 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 253. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Henderson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Panthers paired the rookies with proven help, Deebo Samuel leading the way.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
