After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They will need Black to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Orange pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The Raiders indulged a want in Smith while a need in edge rusher and offensive lineman stayed open. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
