A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a A- weekend for the Steelers.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Kenyon Sadiq, the No. 19 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot.

Whatever Fernando Mendoza becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
