The Steele Chambers selection is the head-turner. The Steelers reached 33 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Powers-Johnson pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

Brade at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
