The Broncos spent real capital to be 30 picks early on Luke McCaffrey, and the board is going to hold them to it. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Landing McClellan that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
