Draft Grade — Colts
Overall
B-
ValueC

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Colts: B-. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Colts spent the 151st pick on Layden Robinson, a name the board had a full 24 spots lower.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Bishop steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
They liked Brian Thomas Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 1, Pick 15. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
Kris Jenkins
A straight-up fair deal on Kris Jenkins at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick82
Rnd3
Cam Hart
They reached into another round for Cam Hart, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick117
Rnd4
Cole Bishop
Cole Bishop at pick 117 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick151
Rnd5
Layden Robinson
A big swing on Layden Robinson at No. 151, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick191
Rnd6
Jared Wiley
A conviction pick on Jared Wiley at slot 191 that the board grades a round light. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick234
Rnd7
Bub Means
They went early on Bub Means in the Round 7 slot, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
