Mason DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Ravens. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named wide receiver, a need the Ravens walked right past. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
The Colby steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
JT Tuimoloau
In slot 32 they get a double-digit-sack hope. A real need, handled.
Pick64
Rnd2
Tyler Guyton
They paid sticker price for Tyler Guyton in No. 64, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick95
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
A clean, defensible pick in Round 3, Pick 32 with a little surplus value in Christian Haynes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick132
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at pick 132 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick134
Rnd4
Justin Rogers
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Justin Rogers. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169
Rnd5
Connor Colby
Connor Colby is a better player than the Round 5 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
