You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chiefs did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
