The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 58 spots for Jordan Hall, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Ioane falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
