No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

Of all the ways to open, the Steelers chose the head-scratcher, spending the Round 4 slot on Sataoa Laumea with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still wide open. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Colson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
