Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

The Packers torched the value chart for Khalid Duke, taking him 36 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On value alone, Jones makes the weekend a net positive. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Troy Fautanu
In pick No. 25 they get protection for the quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
The board had cheaper options than Edgerrin Cooper at slot 41, and it noticed. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick58 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
They paid sticker price for Kamren Kinchens in pick 58, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick88 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni at Round 3, Pick 25 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick91 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
By-the-book stuff, Khyree Jackson at the 91st overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick126 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones slid further than he should have, and the 126th pick is lovely value for the cornerback. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Value with a capital V on Tykee Smith in the 169th pick, a genuine coup. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
No edge and no loss on Jaylan Ford in No. 202; it is a wash and a sensible one. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick219 Rnd6 Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson at the Round 6 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
Jalen Sundell at slot 245 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick255 Rnd7 Khalid Duke
This one needs a full-page explanation: Khalid Duke in Round 7, Pick 35, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
