Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Chiefs. The Chiefs clearly saw something nobody else did in Dwight McGlothern, taking him 43 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The Beebe steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Keon Coleman
In pick 28 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60
Rnd2
Michael Hall Jr.
Michael Hall Jr. at Round 2, Pick 28 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick91
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
A slide stopped in the 91st pick, with Cooper Beebe worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick128
Rnd4
Javon Foster
Javon Foster in the 128th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick161
Rnd5
Kitan Oladapo
Kitan Oladapo in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick171
Rnd5
Michael Barrett
The board had cheaper options than Michael Barrett at pick No. 171, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick175
Rnd5
Isaiah Williams
They liked Isaiah Williams enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 175. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick206
Rnd6
Dwight McGlothern
They talked themselves into Dwight McGlothern at the Round 6 slot, and the board did not agree. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick249
Rnd7
Evan Anderson
Evan Anderson in Round 7, Pick 29 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
