Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks let Ewers fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Quinn Ewers, the No. 92 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 137th overall pick.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In pick No. 18 they get a blindside protector at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Warren at slot 50 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick52 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell slid further than he should have, and No. 52 is lovely value for the linebacker. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick82 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
A slide stopped in the 82nd overall pick, with Donovan Jackson worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at the 92nd pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick137 Rnd4 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers in Round 4, Pick 35 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick172 Rnd5 Aeneas Peebles
Aeneas Peebles in pick 172 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
Pick175 Rnd5 Trevor Etienne
They robbed the room for Trevor Etienne here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick223 Rnd7 Antwane Wells Jr.
Taking Antwane Wells Jr. in the 223rd pick is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick234 Rnd7 Jay Toia
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Jay Toia in pick 234, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
