The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Milton III: B.

The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Joe Milton III, the No. 152 name on the board, sitting there at pick 188 like a gift left on the doorstep. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
