The phones were a trap the Cowboys kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

The Davis pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The Parr reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. The veteran additions, Myles Garrett chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
