ModestWalrus DRAFTING FOR THE49ers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and Coleman: B. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jonah Coleman, pick No. 92, roughly 22 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The Louis reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a seam-stretching tight end, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick58
Rnd2
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at pick No. 58 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick92
Rnd3
Jonah Coleman
You do not let a running back like Jonah Coleman reach pick 92 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick127
Rnd4
Jude Bowry
Jude Bowry at the 127th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick133
Rnd4
Gracen Halton
Gracen Halton in the Round 4 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick138
Rnd4
Kyle Louis
They went early on Kyle Louis in slot 138, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick171
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
Nothing to complain about; Aamil Wagner went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
